We have the choice to build in harmony with our surroundings, but as seen in our sprawling suburbs, we often have scant regard for this practice. The balance between nature and our need for housing could be addressed without additional expense through ingenuity, imagination and a desire to live harmoniously with the neighbouring flora and fauna.
