Nat Ward’s painting practice is grounded in close observation of the bush and river landscapes she knows intimately through hiking and sustained engagement. Her work acknowledges the understated and often overlooked elements of scrubland environments, drawing subtly on aspects of Divisionism to create a gentle vibration of light and colour.
