Marcus O'Donnell is an artist, writer and academic. His hybrid traditional-digital prints explore pattern, chaos and complexity at the intersection of bodies, sexuality, and landscape. His abstract variations on landscape and still life traditions, investigate our troublesome representation of ‘nature’, all at once beautiful, monstrous and mysterious. He was awarded 2nd prize in the Jack Wilkins Experimental Photography Prize (2022). He was a finalist in the Milburn Prize (2023); Mullins Conceptual Photography Prize (2023); Olive Cotton Award (2023) and Tacit Still Life Prize (2022). He exhibited at Woolwich Print Fair London (2024; 2025) and Sydney Contemporary Paper (2024; 2025).
