Peter Watts is a respected landscape artist, known for his skillful depiction of light and shadow across the skies and rural settings of Southern Australia. He was a finalist in the Glover Prize in 2021, 2022, and 2024, winning the "People’s Choice" award in 2022.
Peter’s work is represented in galleries in Australia and Singapore. Born in 1963 in Horsham, Victoria, he draws inspiration from the cloudscapes and landscapes of Southern Australia, capturing the shifting shades and movements in elevated terrains. His paintings are a blend of realism and subtle abstraction, giving life to the changing qualities of nature.
In addition to his fine art career, Peter has over 30 years of experience in the arts community. As the creative director of Watts Design, his work has gained international recognition, working with leading brands internationally. He has also served as a judge in various design competitions worldwide.
