In the work, the figure-ground relationship becomes unstable by subverting assumed light and value relationships, making the work appear to oscillate in space. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAs human beings we are literate in the language of hands. They are gestures of emotion, of communication, touch and intimacy. They are symbols of creation. They can be used for good and for evil.
